These Community and Communication Guidelines establish the standards that apply to all individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations, institutions, professionals, representatives, administrators, developers, service providers, partners and other users who access or use XBN.

These Guidelines apply to all areas and functions of the Platform, including:

personal and organizational profiles;
company and nonprofit pages;
public and private posts;
comments and reactions;
direct messages;
groups and communities;
events and calendars;
job postings and professional opportunities;
products, services and business listings;
reviews, recommendations and endorsements;
collaboration and communication tools;
artificial intelligence tools and assistants;
software integrations and connected applications;
file, image, video and document sharing;
marketplace and commercial features;
any future XBN services or communication functions.

By accessing or using XBN, users agree to comply with these Guidelines, the XBN Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and all other applicable XBN policies.

Purpose of XBN

XBN is intended to provide a professional, trustworthy and internationally accessible environment in which users can:

build professional relationships;
present businesses and organizations;
discover partners, customers, suppliers and opportunities;
communicate and collaborate;
promote legitimate products and services;
exchange professional knowledge;
recruit and find employment;
develop projects and commercial relationships;
use responsible artificial intelligence and automation;
participate in professional communities;
support innovation and sustainable economic development.

Every user contributes to the safety, reliability and professional quality of the Platform.

General Standard of Conduct

All users must act lawfully, honestly, professionally and respectfully.

Users are expected to:

communicate constructively;
provide truthful and accurate information;
respect other users and organizations;
respect cultural, linguistic and international differences;
take responsibility for their own communications and activities;
comply with applicable laws and regulations;
honor contractual and confidentiality obligations;
protect account credentials and access rights;
conduct appropriate due diligence before entering business relationships;
use the Platform only for legitimate purposes.

Professional disagreement, criticism and debate are permitted. However, disagreement must not become harassment, threats, discrimination, defamation, deception or personal hostility.

Professional Communication

Communication on XBN must remain appropriate for a professional business network.

Users must not:

insult, degrade or humiliate others;
engage in personal attacks;
use excessively abusive, obscene or hostile language;
deliberately provoke or disrupt professional discussions;
repeatedly interrupt, antagonize or target other users;
communicate in a threatening or intimidating manner;
send unwanted sexual remarks or propositions;
shame or embarrass others intentionally;
encourage coordinated attacks against individuals or organizations;
continue contacting a user after being clearly asked to stop;
misuse messaging tools to pressure, manipulate or harass others.

Criticism should focus on conduct, services, products, decisions or ideas rather than on personal degradation.

Harassment and Bullying

XBN does not permit harassment, bullying or targeted abuse.

Prohibited behavior includes:

repeated unwanted communication;
stalking or monitoring another user;
coordinated harassment;
threats to damage a person’s career or reputation;
publishing humiliating personal information;
encouraging others to target a user;
sending abusive messages from multiple accounts;
creating accounts to evade blocks or restrictions;
threatening to reveal confidential or intimate material;
using professional influence to intimidate or silence others;
retaliating against a user for submitting a good-faith report.

Conduct may constitute harassment even if individual messages appear minor when viewed separately.

Discrimination and Hate Speech

Users must not discriminate against, attack or dehumanize individuals or groups based on characteristics including:

race;
ethnicity;
nationality;
citizenship;
religion or belief;
sex;
gender;
gender identity or expression;
sexual orientation;
disability;
age;
pregnancy;
family or marital status;
health status;
veteran or military status;
social or economic background;
any other characteristic protected by applicable law.

Prohibited conduct includes:

hate speech;
slurs;
calls for exclusion or segregation;
dehumanizing comparisons;
promotion of unlawful discrimination;
celebration of violence against protected groups;
threats based on identity;
discriminatory job, service or business practices;
targeted harassment based on personal characteristics.

Good-faith academic, historical, journalistic or policy discussions may be permitted when presented responsibly and without promoting hatred or violence.

Threats, Violence and Dangerous Conduct

Users must not threaten, encourage, organize, celebrate or facilitate violence.

Prohibited activities include:

credible threats of physical harm;
calls for violence;
attempts to organize violent activity;
glorification of terrorist attacks or serious violence;
recruitment for terrorist or violent extremist organizations;
instructions intended to facilitate violent wrongdoing;
sharing private location information to expose a person to danger;
threatening employees, customers, public officials or other users;
using XBN to acquire resources for violent purposes.

XBN may immediately restrict access and preserve relevant information when there is a credible risk to safety.

Where required or permitted by law, XBN may cooperate with emergency services, regulators or law-enforcement authorities.

Authentic Identity and Representation

Users must represent themselves, their qualifications and their organizations honestly.

Users must not:

impersonate another person;
impersonate a company, nonprofit organization or public authority;
create deceptive identities;
falsely claim employment, ownership or authority;
falsely claim professional qualifications or licenses;
misuse another person’s name, photograph, logo or branding;
operate coordinated fake accounts;
manipulate identity-verification systems;
create accounts to evade enforcement;
falsely imply an endorsement, partnership or affiliation.

Organizations are responsible for ensuring that their representatives and page administrators are properly authorized.

Brand names or professional pseudonyms may be used where permitted, provided they are not used deceptively.

Profile and Organization Information

Profile and organization information must be reasonably accurate and current.

Users should not knowingly provide false information regarding:

name or organization identity;
location;
business activity;
employment;
qualifications;
ownership;
leadership;
professional experience;
licenses or certifications;
products or services;
company size or financial condition;
partnerships or customers;
nonprofit or charitable status.

XBN may request additional verification where reasonably necessary to protect users or platform integrity.

Fraud, Scams and Deception

XBN may not be used for fraud, scams or deceptive business practices.

Prohibited activities include:

investment scams;
advance-fee schemes;
Ponzi or pyramid schemes;
fraudulent crowdfunding;
false charitable fundraising;
fake invoices;
deceptive payment requests;
identity theft;
phishing;
fraudulent grant or loan offers;
fake sponsorship opportunities;
fraudulent procurement offers;
deceptive job opportunities;
false claims of guaranteed profits;
manipulation of users into revealing security credentials;
misrepresentation of products, services or business performance;
concealment of material fees or risks;
use of forged documents;
fraudulent account verification.

Users must not exploit another person’s lack of experience, financial distress, age, disability or vulnerability.

Business Integrity and Due Diligence

Users must conduct business honestly and transparently.

Before entering a transaction or partnership, users should independently verify relevant information, including:

identity;
authority to act;
company registration;
licenses;
payment details;
contractual terms;
ownership of goods or intellectual property;
financial capacity;
references and professional credentials.

Unless XBN expressly states otherwise, XBN does not guarantee:

the identity of a user;
the financial condition of an organization;
the quality of products or services;
the accuracy of business claims;
the completion of a transaction;
the success of an investment;
the performance of a contract.

Users remain responsible for their own business decisions.

Spam and Unsolicited Communication

XBN supports relevant and personalized professional outreach. It does not permit spam or abusive solicitation.

Users must not:

send large volumes of identical or substantially similar messages;
repeatedly contact users who have shown no interest;
continue contacting a user after an opt-out;
use false or misleading subject lines;
create artificial urgency;
scrape contact information for mass marketing;
add users to mailing lists without appropriate authorization;
repeatedly post unrelated advertisements;
flood groups or discussions with promotions;
abuse invitations, mentions, reactions or notifications;
distribute chain messages;
send automated messages indiscriminately;
use bots to generate fake conversations;
conceal the commercial purpose of outreach.

Commercial communication must comply with applicable marketing, privacy and electronic-communications laws.

Privacy and Personal Information

Users must respect the privacy of others and comply with applicable privacy and data-protection laws.

Users must not unlawfully collect, publish, sell, transfer or misuse:

private residential addresses;
personal phone numbers;
private email addresses;
government identification numbers;
social security numbers;
banking or payment details;
passwords or authentication codes;
medical or health information;
employment records;
private family information;
precise real-time location data;
private communications;
customer or employee databases;
information concerning children;
biometric information;
confidential personal records.

Even publicly available information must not be collected or republished in a manner that creates a risk of harassment, fraud, identity theft or physical harm.

Confidential Business Information

Users must protect confidential and proprietary business information.

Users must not disclose without authorization:

trade secrets;
internal financial information;
nonpublic business strategies;
confidential customer information;
employee records;
source code;
product-development information;
nonpublic contracts;
confidential negotiations;
private board or management communications;
information protected by a nondisclosure agreement;
privileged legal communications;
security credentials or infrastructure details.

Users are responsible for ensuring that they are authorized to upload or share workplace and organizational information.

Intellectual Property

Users must respect copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, database rights and other intellectual-property rights.

Content may only be published when the user:

owns the relevant rights;
has permission from the rights holder;
holds an appropriate license;
is otherwise legally permitted to use the content.

Prohibited activities include:

copying protected articles, images, videos or documents without authorization;
distributing pirated material;
publishing stolen source code;
removing copyright notices;
presenting another person’s work as one’s own;
using trademarks deceptively;
selling content without authorization;
distributing counterfeit products;
sharing confidential technical material;
facilitating intellectual-property infringement.

Appropriate attribution must be provided where required.

Knowingly submitting a false copyright complaint may result in account restrictions and potential legal liability.

Defamation and False Allegations

Users must not knowingly publish materially false statements that unlawfully damage the reputation of another person or organization.

Users may share honest opinions and experiences but should:

distinguish opinions from factual claims;
avoid presenting rumors as confirmed facts;
retain evidence supporting serious allegations;
correct material errors when discovered;
avoid threats to publish damaging information for money or advantage;
avoid coordinated reputation attacks;
provide relevant context.

XBN may restrict content that clearly violates these Guidelines, applicable law or the rights of others.

Misinformation and Manipulated Media

Users must not intentionally distribute materially false or manipulated information for the purpose of deception, fraud or harm.

This includes:

fabricated company announcements;
fake partnerships;
false regulatory approvals;
manipulated financial records;
fabricated customer reviews;
fake job advertisements;
altered documents presented as authentic;
deceptive deepfakes;
manipulated audio, images or video;
false emergency warnings;
coordinated misinformation campaigns;
false statements intended to manipulate commercial decisions or markets.

Satire, parody and fictional content should be identifiable as such where confusion is reasonably likely.

Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence

XBN supports responsible use of artificial intelligence, automation, AI assistants, agents, plugins and integrations.

Users remain responsible for all actions and content generated through automated systems.

Users must not use artificial intelligence to:

impersonate another person deceptively;
generate fake reviews;
produce fraudulent business documents;
create fake engagement;
automate spam;
conduct phishing;
spread malicious code;
scrape restricted information;
manipulate rankings or recommendations;
evade moderation or account restrictions;
make false claims;
conceal unlawful discrimination;
violate privacy or intellectual-property rights;
generate deceptive identities;
falsely represent AI-generated material as independently verified fact.

Where reasonably necessary to prevent deception, users should clearly disclose materially AI-generated or AI-altered content.

Automated Decisions and High-Impact AI Use

Organizations using artificial intelligence for consequential decisions remain responsible for compliance with applicable law.

Consequential uses may include:

recruitment;
employee evaluation;
lending;
insurance;
housing;
education;
healthcare;
professional certification;
access to services;
account moderation;
financial or investment evaluation.

Users must ensure appropriate:

transparency;
human oversight;
security;
accuracy testing;
nondiscrimination;
privacy protection;
recordkeeping;
appeal or review mechanisms;
compliance with applicable regulations.

XBN’s provision of technical integration tools does not transfer legal responsibility from the user or organization operating the system.

Platform Integrations and Connected Applications

Users may only connect applications, customer-management systems, content-management systems, AI assistants, automation tools or other software through authorized methods.

Users and developers must not:

bypass technical restrictions;
exceed applicable rate limits;
access data without authorization;
scrape XBN data unlawfully;
sell access credentials;
interfere with platform security;
misrepresent the purpose of an integration;
collect more data than reasonably necessary;
retain data longer than permitted;
use integrations for surveillance, spam or manipulation;
introduce malware or security vulnerabilities.

Organizations are responsible for the security and lawful operation of their connected systems.

Cybersecurity and Platform Integrity

Users must not compromise or attempt to compromise XBN, its users or connected systems.

Prohibited activities include:

distributing malware, spyware or ransomware;
phishing;
credential theft;
unauthorized penetration testing;
accessing systems without permission;
exploiting security vulnerabilities;
bypassing authentication;
interfering with platform availability;
denial-of-service attacks;
reverse engineering where prohibited by law;
stealing or selling user data;
introducing malicious scripts;
manipulating platform functions;
using XBN infrastructure for cyberattacks;
publishing security vulnerabilities before responsible disclosure when doing so creates a risk of harm.

Commercial Offers and Advertising

Commercial offers must be lawful, accurate and transparent.

Where applicable, users should clearly disclose:

cancellation or refund terms;
limitations and exclusions;
material risks;
sponsorships;
affiliate relationships;
recurring-payment obligations.

Users must not use deceptive advertising, false scarcity, hidden fees, fake discounts or misleading comparisons.

Sponsored or paid content must be appropriately identified where required.

Prohibited Goods and Services

Users must not use XBN to offer, advertise, arrange or facilitate goods or services that are illegal or prohibited by applicable XBN policies.

Prohibited activity includes:

stolen goods;
counterfeit goods;
fraudulent documents;
illegal drugs;
unlawful controlled substances;
unlawful weapons;
explosives;
human trafficking;
sexual exploitation;
criminal services;
malware or stolen credentials;
illegal surveillance services;
unauthorized financial products;
illegal gambling services;
products that violate sanctions or restrictions;
goods obtained through fraud;
services designed to evade law enforcement or regulatory requirements.

XBN may remove other high-risk offers where necessary to protect users or comply with law.

Employment and Recruitment

Job postings and recruitment communications must represent genuine professional opportunities.

Employers and recruiters must not:

advertise nonexistent positions;
misrepresent compensation;
conceal that a position is unpaid or commission-only;
demand improper advance fees;
collect excessive personal information;
discriminate unlawfully;
misrepresent working conditions;
falsely claim affiliation with an employer;
request passwords or security codes;
use applicant information for unrelated purposes without authorization;
conceal material employment conditions;
operate fraudulent work-from-home schemes;
use job offers to recruit users into pyramid schemes.

Applicants must not falsify qualifications, experience, references, licenses or professional credentials.

Reviews, Recommendations and Endorsements

Reviews and recommendations must reflect genuine experiences or legitimate professional relationships.

Users must not:

publish fabricated reviews;
purchase deceptive endorsements;
review their own organization without disclosure;
coordinate review manipulation;
threaten negative reviews to obtain benefits;
offer undisclosed compensation for positive reviews;
impersonate customers or employees;
use fake accounts to influence ratings;
harass users for posting honest criticism.

Material financial, employment, ownership or family relationships should be disclosed where they could affect the credibility of an endorsement.

Financial, Investment and Regulated Services

Users offering financial, investment, insurance, legal, healthcare or other regulated services must comply with all applicable licensing and disclosure obligations.

Users must not:

guarantee investment returns;
conceal material risks;
provide regulated services without required authorization;
falsely claim regulatory approval;
misrepresent professional qualifications;
manipulate users through false urgency;
promote fraudulent securities;
use XBN to evade financial regulations;
provide misleading medical or legal claims;
solicit funds deceptively.

XBN does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical or investment advice merely by hosting content.

Crowdfunding, Donations and Fundraising

Fundraising campaigns must be genuine, transparent and lawful.

Campaign organizers must accurately describe:

the campaign organizer;
the intended use of funds;
the beneficiary;
fees and expenses;
material risks;
whether contributions are donations, investments, loans or purchases;
any expected benefits or rewards;
refund or cancellation conditions.

Users must not:

create false emergencies;
misrepresent beneficiaries;
use funds for undisclosed purposes;
fabricate nonprofit or charitable status;
offer unlawful investments;
impersonate charities;
conceal material conflicts of interest.

Groups, Communities and Events

Group owners, administrators and event organizers must manage their spaces responsibly.

They must not:

organize unlawful activity;
tolerate persistent harassment;
misrepresent the purpose of a group;
collect personal data without appropriate notice;
falsely claim XBN sponsorship;
charge undisclosed fees;
facilitate fraud or discrimination;
use groups for spam;
manipulate membership numbers;
block legitimate reports or investigations.

Private groups, invitation-only events and private messages remain subject to these Guidelines.

Additional group rules may be established provided they do not conflict with XBN policies or applicable law.

Sexual Content and Exploitation

XBN is a professional business network. Explicit sexual content and sexual services are not appropriate.

Prohibited content and conduct include:

pornography;
explicit sexual imagery;
solicitation of sexual services;
sexual harassment;
non-consensual intimate imagery;
threats to publish intimate content;
sexual exploitation;
grooming;
content sexualizing minors;
trafficking or coercion.

Limited educational, healthcare or professional discussion may be permitted when relevant, lawful and presented appropriately.

Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons

Users must not exploit, manipulate, groom or endanger minors or vulnerable individuals.

Strictly prohibited activities include:

child sexual exploitation material;
requests for inappropriate images;
predatory communication;
trafficking;
recruitment for exploitation;
financial manipulation of vulnerable persons;
publication of information creating a safety risk;
attempts to move a minor into unsafe private communication;
impersonation intended to gain a minor’s trust.

Suspected child exploitation may be reported to appropriate authorities.

Accessibility and Inclusive Participation

XBN encourages accessible and inclusive professional communication.

Where reasonably possible, users and organizations should:

use clear language;

provide transcripts for important audio content;
use meaningful alternative text for relevant images;
create documents that can be read by assistive technologies;
avoid unnecessary flashing content;
provide accessible contact methods;
avoid excluding users based on disability;
offer reasonable alternatives where information is available only in one format.

Account and Access Security

Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials.

Users should:

protect administrative permissions;
verify unexpected payment or credential requests.

Users must not knowingly allow unauthorized persons to use their accounts.

temporarily restrict an account;
limit access to certain features;

restricting posting;
suspending specific features;
removing administrative privileges;
restricting an organization page;
canceling an event or listing;
requesting identity verification;
temporarily suspending an account;
permanently terminating an account;
preventing replacement accounts;
preserving information;
notifying affected parties;
reporting activity to authorities where legally required or necessary.

Serious violations may result in immediate action without prior warning.

When determining an appropriate response, XBN may consider:

the seriousness of the violation;
actual or potential harm;
whether the conduct was intentional;

previous violations;
